About Me

theagateman: Jordan, Minnesota, United States; Born in Jordan Minnesota 9/19/1950. Grew up a true rock hound, especially Lake Superior agates. I still reside in Jordan and was in the Utility business for 39 years. I worked for a rural electric Co-op located in Jordan for 35 years. I retired as the Manager of Operations. Married with 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Also loved to fish and hunt until my health failed. I am interested in most sports. I took early retirement in June of 2009 due to severe degenerative disc disease. Cutting and polishing agates and making mosaics has been my solace since my mobility has been limited. I love to share the beauty of polished stones and my knowledge of them with others.
